I was walking through an old cemetery when I saw a panther charging through the gates in the distance. As she came closer, I kneeled to the ground, put my head down, and held one arm up in a stopping motion in front of her. I lifted my head and she was right in front of me, growling and gnarling her teeth at me as if she were ready to devour me. I stood up and waved my hand beside her and a small kitten appeared. I said, “See?” And picked up the kitten, gently stroking its fur. I set the kitten down in front of her and she became docile. She picked the kitten up in her mouth and trotted back out the way she came.
